This painting is my rendition of a legend I heard that the gift of a new morning is guided in by a spirit bear. Also being brought in to the new day is the good, healing and spiritual medicine that we all need in the life in every day living.

If someone were to ask me what I was painting during the time I spent painting this painting, I would have answered. “Inside me there are two spirit wolves 1 Evil and 1 Good and they are going to fight, so that, the winner can possess my soul.” If you ask me which wolf do I think is going to win? I will simply tell you...” The spirit wolf that will win my soul, will be the spirit wolf that I Feed!”

This presentation combines the x-ray style painting onto a prepared background and depicts a presentation by myself of my idea of the Life Cycle of loons, the loon family and their food source fish. The lines are all spirit cords showing that everything in the life of a loon family is connected and related.
